Elizabeth Manning Physiotherapy was opened in August 2008 in Promed Medical Centre. The attending physiotherapists in the practice are the dynamic husband and wife team: Elizabeth and Matthew Ratcliffe. Our rooms offer general physiotherapy outpatient services but we mainly deal with musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation. The practice caters for individual treatment, home visits and Pilates classes: individuals and groups. We also have a wheelchair friendly entrance. We are both registered with the HPCSA and the SASP ensuring the protection of the patients while upholding the high standards of South African Physiotherapy.
Elizabeth RatcliffeElizabeth Manning graduated from WITS in 2006 and completed her community service at the Polokwane provincial hospital in 2007. In 2008 she founded Elizabeth Manning Physiotherapy and shortly after married Matthew Ratcliffe. Elizabeth enjoys rehabilitation and since graduating has become closely involved in the Pilates exercise method, continuing her education in:
Elizabeth is passionate about Pilates and enhancing an individual's maximum potential for movement. Her aim is to ensure that all clients have the best possible quality of life. Her areas of interest also include cervicogenic headaches and TMJ (jaw) problems. |

Matthew RatcliffeMatthew Ratcliffe also graduated from WITS in 2006 and completed his community service at F.H Odendaal hospital in Nylstroom in 2007. He worked in the private sector in Polokwane in 2008 and joined Elizabeth in May 2009. Matthew enjoys working with sports and peripheral joint injuries. He completed the following continuing education courses:
Matthew likes treating all forms of sporting injuries and was involved in many sporting activities when he was younger. He also has an interest in dry needle therapy and rehabilitation. |

Andries van ZylAndries van Zyl graduated from Stellies in 2015 and completed his community service at the Polokwane provincial hospital in 2016. In 2017 he joined Elizabeth Manning Physiotherapy. Andries enjoys working with sports injuries, central and peripheral joint injuries and chronic pain conditions (Fibromyalgia, Chronic regional Pain Syndrome, and many musculoskaletal based auto immune disorders ).
Andries can also treat neurological conditions such as rehabilitation after brain and spinal cord injuries. Furthermore, he can treat chest conditions that require the removal of excessive secretions and improvement of cardio-respiratory function. |
